Ramayana’s release date REVEALED – Namit Malhotra’s magnum opus to release on November 6 worldwide

The highly anticipated trailer for the movie Ramayana was finally released last week, and it sparked a lot of discussion online.The trailer simply said that the film will be out on Diwali this year but didn't give the exact date.This left people guessing — would the film come out on Sunday, November 8, which is Diwali, or on Friday, November 6?There were also rumors that it might be released before Diwali, on October 30.

Source has learned that the film will release on Friday, November 6, and will be shown in most countries on that day.

The days leading up to Diwali are usually not great for box office success, but trade experts think Ramayana might be an exception.

The source added, "There’s a lot of buzz around Ramayana, so it's expected to make a strong start.From Monday, November 9, the film could have great success."

Dharma Productions is handling the release in India, while Sony Pictures is taking care of overseas distribution.

Earlier this week, Bollywood Hungama revealed that T-Series has bought the music rights for both parts of the movie for Rs.75 crores in advance.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.

It's directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for Dangal, and produced by Namit Malhotra.The music is composed by A.R.Rahman and Hans Zimmer.It's a two-part story — the first part will come out on Diwali 2026, and the second part will be released on Diwali 2027.

Ohh My Dog follows in the footsteps of Dhurandhar The Revenge, Bhooth Bangla; to have paid previews on August 6 that too for JUST Rs. 149

The trend of paid previews has really taken off in Bollywood this year.It started with *Dhurandhar The Revenge*, which did well during its previews.Then came *Bhooth Bangla*, and another Akshay Kumar film, *Welcome To The Jungle*, also had paid previews, and both did well before their full releases.Last month, *Baby Do Die Do* had paid previews on Thursday, July 2, just a day before its official release.Now, the next film to join this trend is *Ohh My Dog*.

A trade source told , “The distributors have told theatres across the country today that they can schedule paid previews for *Ohh My Dog* on Thursday, August 6, which is a day before its official release on Friday, August 7.

Theaters have been asked to make sure that the shows are held between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm.Some theaters have already started booking tickets for the previews.”

Usually, paid preview tickets are more expensive and cost as much as weekend tickets.

But *Ohh My Dog* is different.The source said, “Theaters have been told to sell preview tickets for Rs.149.These are only the prices for the previews.From Friday, the regular weekend price will be in effect.”

An industry insider said, “By holding paid previews, the makers are showing they believe in the movie.

Also, selling tickets at a low price will make people want to watch it and talk about it.This will help spread the word, which is especially important for a movie that doesn’t have big stars.”

Recently, there were reports saying that Salman Khan had agreed to charge just Rs.70 crores for Vamshi Paidipally's upcoming film.These reports also claimed that the superstar, who usually earns more than Rs.120 crores, had reduced his fee by about 40% for this action movie.However, Bollywood Hungama has now received an exclusive statement from the film's producers, clearly denying these claims.

The producers, Sri Venkateswara Creations, have shared the following statement with Bollywood Hungama: “We have seen many reports about Salman Khan's payment for SVC63.

We want to clearly say these reports are completely false and not true.

As producers, we don’t talk about or share private details about our projects.

The numbers being talked about, including the film’s budget, are just guesses and not correct.

We ask the media to contact us before sharing such information.

Our team is focused on making a great movie that will please the audience.

Ramayana faces fresh controversy as Shri Ramlila Mahasangh seeks preview screening, warns of protests over alleged inaccuracies

Even before its release, Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated mythological film Ramayana has once again become a topic of discussion.

Shri Ramlila Mahasangh President Arjun Kumar has reportedly asked for a special screening of the film, expressing worries about how it portrays the Indian epic and asking the makers to make sure the story is true to the original.

At a recent press conference, Kumar said he had written a formal letter to the filmmakers asking for an early screening.

He said the reason is that some parts of the film might hurt the religious feelings of Hindus in India and abroad.

Speaking to PTI, Kumar said the Mahasangh supports the film but wants it to be respectful of the story.

He said, "We welcome this film and want millions of people to watch it.We will even organize free showings for members of the Ramleela Committee.However, the trailer upset us as it didn’t show the proper feelings.The costumes looked strange, so we asked the producers and directors to show the film to the Ramleela Committee before it is released."  

He continued, "If we find any problems, we can give our feedback and we will accept the film.

But if it is released without such a screening, like 'Adipurush,' and it hurts religious feelings, we will not allow the film to be shown.We have made this decision in consultation with the Ramleela Mahasangh and Delhi's Ramlila committees, and we want to make sure our religious feelings are not harmed."  

He also mentioned that the backlash against Adipurush was because of inaccuracies in its adaptation.

One major issue was showing Lanka as black instead of the traditional golden kingdom, among other changes that many believed were not true to the original story.Kumar suggested that such changes may have led to the film's poor box office performance.

In addition to concerns from the trailer, Kumar said the organisation had received information that certain parts of Ramayana could upset audiences, though he didn’t specify which scenes.

"According to information received by the Mahasangh, Ramayana may also contain scenes that could hurt the sentiments of Hindus living in India and abroad.Because of this, the organisation has asked for a special preview screening to make sure any potentially problematic scenes or lines are identified and removed before the film is released."  

The Shri Ramlila Mahasangh President has also reportedly warned that if the filmmakers refuse their request for a preview screening, and if the film is found to have mistakes, the organisation will hold protests and demonstrations at cinemas in various cities during its release.

Meanwhile, Ramayana continues to be one of the most expected Indian films in recent times.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita Maa, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, while producer Yash also plays the role of Ravana.

The big project is planned to come out in two parts, with the first part going on in cinemas during Diwali this year, and the second part around the same festive time next year.

As anticipation grows, it remains to be seen whether the makers will agree to the Mahasangh’s request for a special screening before the film is released.

No change in King’s release date; Shah Rukh Khan ALL SET to take on Avengers: Doomsday, Jumanji: Open World and Dune: Part Three this December

After being away from the big screen for three years, superstar Shah Rukh Khan is coming back this year with the highly awaited action movie, King.A special promo was shown in January, which confirmed that the movie will be released in cinemas on December 24.However, there were recent talks that King might not be able to come out on that date and could instead be pushed to 2027.But now, Bollywood Hungama has found out that there are no plans to delay the film, and King is still set to come out on December 24, 2026.

King is coming out at the same time as three big Hollywood movies.

On December 18, Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three will both be in theaters.Avengers: Doomsday is expected to be a huge hit, especially since the box office success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day showed how much Indian audiences like Marvel films.

Dune: Part Three, on the other hand, might not appeal to as many people, but the Rs.

27.86 crore that Dune: Part Two made in India shows that there is still a strong fan base for the franchise.Also, the fact that it will be shown in IMAX could help it do well at the box office.

Jumanji: Open World is part of a series that has been popular with many people.

The first two parts did more than Rs.50 crores each in India, so expectations are high for this new one.It stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.

A trade source said, “In India, King will have an edge as it is a Hindi movie with Shah Rukh Khan and other big stars.

Among the Hollywood movies, Avengers: Doomsday will be the biggest competition.But internationally, all three Hollywood movies are major releases with big potential.This is where King might face some issues in getting enough screens.”  

The same trade source added, “But only a movie like King can take on such big Hollywood films.

Shah Rukh Khan is the top Indian star in the world.Also, Yash Raj Films is handling the international release of King.They will use their experience and good relationships to get the best screens and show times.”  

An industry insider mentioned, “Many people thought King would come out in 2027.

But that would mean waiting until after April or May.Love & War is coming out on January 21, and the holy month of Ramzan will start in the first week of February.Then there will be other big releases, like Spirit on March 5 and Varanasi on April 7.Coming out during Christmas might mean some screen-sharing challenges at first.But on the positive side, King won’t face any new competition until Republic Day.If the word of mouth is as strong as people expect, the movie could really do well.”  

One part of the cinema industry that is worried is the single-screen theaters.

A theater owner, who asked to remain anonymous, said, “It will definitely be a good time for the box office.We just hope that distributors and studios don’t force us to screen just one movie.”
