Actor Chandrachur Singh has gone to the police about a long family problem regarding inheritance.He says that his grandfather's will was made up to stop his late father from getting his part of the family property.According to PTI, Singh has named his aunt Gaytri Devi, two cousins, and four other family members in the FIR.
The complaint was filed at the Rorawar police station in Aligarh on Friday.
Singh says that his grandfather, Thakur Harender Pal Singh, signed the will in 1997, but at that time he was very sick and not able to sign legal papers.He claims that the signature was fake.
Singh has also blamed his uncle Ganga Singh and other relatives for being involved in the forgery.
He says that because of this fake will, his father, Captain Baldev Singh, lost his share of the family property.
He also claims that his father was not in Aligarh when the will was supposedly written.
He also says that another uncle, Puniya Pratap Singh, died before Harender Pal Singh.
The complaint says that several valuable properties listed in the will were sold over the years.
Singh said on Friday evening that he had enough proof to support his claims.He also said he gave a statement to the police after the FIR was filed.
Gaytri Devi had previously denied the allegations.
Last year, she accused Chandrachur Singh of trying to falsely accuse her and said the will was real.
Singh’s father, Captain Baldev Singh, was a former Congress MLA from Aligarh city and died a few years ago.
The police have now started an investigation into the allegations.
The claims made by Chandrachur Singh in the FIR are just accusations at this point and have not been proven yet.
Chandrachur Singh has been in Hindi cinema for several years and is known for movies like Maachis, Kya Kehna, and Josh.
He acted with Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai in Josh.His filmography also includes Cuttputlli and other projects.
