Rukmini Vasanth to feature in Yash starrer Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups

The excitement about who would play the fifth main female role in Yash's highly anticipated movie, *Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups*, has been finally resolved. It has been confirmed that Rukmini Vasanth, a well-known actress from Kannada cinema, has been part of the film's cast from the start. The makers chose to keep her involvement a secret to surprise the audience when the news was finally revealed.

According to people in the film industry, Rukmini has already filmed several important scenes with Yash during the Mumbai phase of the movie.

 Only a few days of filming are left for her. "The film was always planned with strong female characters, and Rukmini's role is no exception. She brings a powerful and clear presence to the story. The team wanted to keep the surprise going for as long as possible, which is why her name was not shared with the public until now," said the source.

With her inclusion, Rukmini joins a group of strong female actors.

 Reports say that Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi will also appear in the film. Each of them is expected to add their own special depth and strength to Geetu Mohandas' bold story, which mixes the intensity of a gangster film with the unusual feel of a dark fairytale.

Currently being filmed in Mumbai, *Toxic* is set to release worldwide on March 19, 2026.

 It also marks a special moment in Indian cinema as the first large movie to be filmed at the same time in both Kannada and English. Dubbed versions are planned in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam to reach a wider global audience.

For Rukmini, this project adds to her growing success after her great performance in *Sapta Sagaradaache Ello*.

 She has several exciting projects coming up, including *Dil Madharaasi* with Sivakarthikeyan, *Kantara Chapter 1* with Rishab Shetty, and another film with NTR.
