Vikrant Massey announces retirement from acting at 37: “Coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time”

In a move that left fans stunned, acclaimed actor Vikrant Massey has announced his retirement from acting at the age of 37. Known for his versatile performances in films like The 12th Failure, Sector 36 and The Sabarmati Report, Vikrant shared the unexpected news in an emotional message on Instagram in which he also hinted at retirement to focus on his career and concentrate on his personal life.

In his Instagram post, the actor wrote: "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I am eternally grateful to all of you for your continued support. However, the more I look ahead, the more I realise it is time to reset and move back home. As a husband, father, son. And as an actor." 

He added, "We will meet one last time in 2025. Until the time comes. Thank you again for the last two films and all the memories over the years. For everything and everything in between. Committed forever. ”

Vikrant’s announcement sparked a flurry of reactions from his followers, with many expressing disbelief and urging him to reconsider. One fan commented, “I hope it’s not true,” while another commented, “Please have a drink and come back,” and an even more emotional response read, “Why would you want to be the next Imran Khan of Bollywood?”. “We have already lost one of our best actors simply because he chose his family,” he said, highlighting the development of his career. Some even said, “Brother, you are at the peak of your career… why do you think so?” 

What’s next for Vikrant Massey? According to reports, Vikrant is currently wrapping up his two final projects, “Yaar Jigri” and “Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan,” both scheduled for release in 2025. These films mark the culmination of a distinguished acting career that began on television and expanded to films and OTT platforms.
