Josh actor Sharad Kapoor accused of attempted sexual harassment in Khar: Reports

A 32-year-old woman has accused Bollywood actor Sharad Kapoor, known for his roles in films like Josh, Tamannaah, Dastak, Trishakti and Iski Topi Uske Saal, of attempted sexual harassment. The woman has reportedly filed a formal complaint with the Khar police, who have registered a case under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and are currently investigating the incident.

The woman described the sequence of events as follows: After entering the Khar premises, she was taken to the actor's bedroom where she allegedly found Sharad sitting undressed. Shocked by the situation, she allegedly asked him to get dressed and continue the conversation in a professional manner. The actor allegedly tried to hug her inappropriately from behind, but she managed to push him away and fled the scene. 

Police action and FIR registration 
The woman immediately sought help from the Khar police and lodged an official complaint. Based on her statement, the Khar police filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Sharad Kapoor under Sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force on a woman), 75 (sexual harassment) and 79 (outrage of modesty of a woman) of the Khar Act. A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Sharad Kapoor under Sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force on a woman), 75 (sexual harassment) and 79 (outrage of modesty of a woman) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita. Police have now begun an investigation into the incident. Sharad Kapoor is yet to comment on the allegations against him.
