Kumar Taurani BREAKS silence on Vashu Bhagnani legal battle; reveals fallout after decades-old friendship: “Abhi thodi doori hai”; questions, “He filed case in a court located 200-300 kms from Patna. Wahaan jaane ki kya zaroorat hai aapko?

In May 2026, producer Vashu Bhagnani filed a legal case in Katihar, Bihar, saying that some songs from his movies were used without permission. The problem started because of recreated versions of the songs "Chunari Chunari" and "Ishq Sona Hai." Vashu Bhagnani claimed these songs were from his film Biwi No 1 (1999) and that the makers of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai (2026) didn't have the right to use them. However, Tips, which made the film with Varun Dhawan, said they had all the rights to use the songs.Ramesh Taurani and Kumar Taurani, the brothers behind Tips, didn't speak much about the issue before, but they finally talked during an interview with Komal Nahta.

When asked about the conflict between producers and music companies over remixes and recreations, Kumar Taurani explained that the idea that producers should get some money from these recreations doesn't make sense.
He gave an example, saying, "Suppose I buy an M F Husain painting for Rs.1 crore.Tomorrow, I can sell it for Rs.2 crores or even rent it out.Why should I object if someone uses it?"

He also spoke about Vashu Bhagnani, saying, "He gave a lot of interviews while we stayed quiet.
Firstly, these contracts were signed 20-25 years ago, and he never raised any issues before.Secondly, all our contracts clearly stated that in any legal dispute, Mumbai would be the place to go.Yet, he filed the case in Bihar, far from Patna. Why did he need to go there? Thanks to God's grace, we got relief from the High Court and Supreme Court. Now, everyone is telling him to fight the case in Mumbai if he has any problem."

Kumar added, "We had a long friendship with Vashu.
We brought him into the industry, and we made our first films together.Later, when he wanted to make films on his own, we supported him.We said, 'Go ahead, make your way.' "

When asked if they are still on good terms with Vashu Bhagnani after all this, Kumar replied, "No.
Abhi thodi doori hai. What can we do?If he had a problem, he could have spoken to us directly."

Kumar also revealed that Vashu Bhagnani had accepted Tips as the rights holder of some songs just a few years ago, but changed his mind during the Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai issue.
He said, "He made a film called Coolie No 1 (2020), which was released directly on Amazon Prime Video. It had two songs from the original film of the same name.We were among the producers of the original film and held the music rights. He asked us to use the songs and we agreed."

Ajay Devgn begins shooting for Chauhaan in Kargil; returns to Ladakh 23 years after LOC: Kargil

Ajay Devgn delivered a big hit this year with Drishyam The Conclusion, which came out during the busy October 2 weekend. It's interesting to note that the actor is preparing for another movie around the same time next year, called Chauhaan. Source has learned that Ajay recently started filming for the war drama in Kargil, Ladakh.

A source from Ladakh told, "Ajay Devgn is shooting for Chauhaan in Kargil.
He arrived here a few days ago and has already started filming. Some important scenes will be shot in this beautiful town. The makers got all the required permissions early and made detailed plans to ensure the shoot goes smoothly."

The source added, "It's very cold here in Kargil, and the weather will give an authentic feel to the scenes of Chauhaan."

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Ajay Devgn has shot in Ladakh.
He previously filmed some key scenes for J P Dutta's war film LOC: Kargil (2003) in the mountainous area.At that time, Ladakh was part of the former state of Jammu & Kashmir. It became a separate Union Territory in 2019, with Leh and Kargil as its two capitals.

Chauhaan is directed by Neeraj Yadav and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aanand L Rai, and Himanshu Sharma under Jio Studios and Colour Yellow Productions.
The film was announced on June 25, 2026, on the birth anniversary of the late action director Veeru Devgan, Ajay Devgn's father. It is set to release in cinemas on October 1, 2027.

The announcement video featured the song "Jumma Chumma De De" playing in the background and ended with the line, "Pathaanon se kehna, Chauhaan aa raha hai." The film marks Ajay Devgn's first collaboration with filmmaker Aanand L Rai.

“Weak writing was the main reason Toxic didn’t work,” says Taran Adarsh; praises Yash as “very confident” actor

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh gave an honest opinion about the movie *Toxic*, saying that the film's writing was the main reason it didn't work.In a special interview with Bollywood Hungama, Adarsh praised Yash's acting and the film's technical aspects, but he pointed out that the screenplay was its biggest problem.

He said, "The main reason *Toxic* didn't work was its weak writing." When asked why the movie didn't connect with the audience, Adarsh was clear.
"If the film failed, it's because of its writing. It was weak." He explained that even if a story sounds interesting on paper, it may not translate well to the big screen."Sometimes, a concept looks good in theory, but when it's actually shown on screen, it doesn't feel as strong.Audiences might find it confusing or strange."

Adarsh also shared his own feelings about the film.
"I didn't like *Toxic* either.I think the main issue was the writing. It was weak, even if the idea was good."

He gave credit to Yash for his performance.
"Yash did a very good job.I don't want to deny that.He played two roles, and I really enjoyed his acting. He's a very confident and talented actor. But if the material you're given is weak, it's hard to make it work."

Adarsh also highlighted the film's technical strengths.
"The film was technically excellent. The visuals were amazing.Yash was outstanding.Kiara Advani did a great job.Nayanthara is a strong actress and she performed well too." He thought some of the other actors could have had better roles."Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth could have been given more depth."

He also talked about how negative feedback can affect a film's impact.
"When a film doesn't work, the effort that went into it gets lost to some extent. And there's a lot of negativity online.I don't think there should be so much of it, but today it's hard to control."
