Shah Rukh Khan, known as SRK, will promote the telecom service provider during the campaign.
However, the company hasn't mentioned how long this partnership will last. This announcement comes as Vodafone Idea, which is owned by the Aditya Birla Group, tries to improve its position in the telecom market and look for funding for a planned capital expenditure of Rs 45,000 crores over the next three years.
Vodafone Idea's CEO, Abhijit Kishore, said, "This is not just a logo update; it's the first step in the evolution of the Vi brand.
It shows our goals for Vi and our commitment to making telecom an experience that enhances customers' lives and opens up new possibilities."
Kishore also spoke about the company's plans for the coming weeks.
He said, "In the coming weeks, this evolution will come to life with strategic launches, new campaigns, and various experiences that will change how we interact with our customers. The new identity reflects optimism—optimism for all that is possible today, and especially for what we can achieve for both our retail customers and businesses in the future as a tech company."
This development happens as Vodafone Idea works to get funds for network expansion.
Business Standard reported that Vodafone Idea was close to securing a loan from the State Bank of India, with its promoters backing the guarantees for the loans. The company raised Rs 6,400 crores through bank-funded and non-funded facilities in the quarter ending June, which was the first part of its planned Rs 35,000 crore fundraising.
These funds are expected to support the company's 4G expansion and 5G rollout.
Vodafone Idea also added 240,114 customers in July, its highest monthly addition in two years. This marks its fourth consecutive quarter of net customer gains since the start of FY27 and its sixth consecutive month of growth since February.
Customer growth is one of the three main focuses of Vodafone Idea's Vi 2.0 strategy, along with achieving double-digit revenue growth and aiming to triple cash Ebitda over the next three years.
Aditya Birla Group chairman and Vodafone Idea non-executive chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla said the company has gone past its "most challenging years" with better financial clarity, continued support from the promoters, and renewed investment ability after resolving the long-standing adjusted gross revenue (AGR) problem.
"In FY26, we focused on resolution.
FY27 is about execution," Birla said in his address to shareholders in the FY26 annual report.
"The key goals moving forward are clear: execute the network investment plan, improve market competitiveness, and turn a stronger balance sheet into sustained growth in customers and earnings," he added.
