Sanjay Leela Bhansali to begin Madhubala biopic starring Sara Arjun in September

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is ready to start working on his highly anticipated Madhubala biopic in September.This will happen after he finishes shooting his current movie, Love & War, which features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal.The director is expected to wrap up the final part of Love & War's filming at Royal Palms in Goregaon by the end of August.

According to a report by Mid-Day, Bhansali will shoot the final song of Love & War at Royal Palms next week.

After that, the same place will be changed to fit the Madhubala biopic, which will have Sara Arjun in the lead role.

An insider in the industry shared that the design team for the biopic will start working on transforming the location as soon as the Love & War shoot ends.

The insider said, "Once the 'Love & War' shoot is over at the end of August, the production design team for the Madhubala biopic will begin working on changing the space.The film is expected to start shooting in September."

The unnamed biopic will be directed by Jasmeet K Reen, who is known for her work on Darlings (2022).

The project had been on hold because of financial issues, but it has now picked up steam after Bhansali joined as a producer.

Sara Arjun has also begun getting ready for her role as the famous actress.

The insider added, "Sara has started preparing for the role.Jasmeet wants to portray Madhubala's personality, mannerisms, and the world she lived in."

Sara, who recently became more well-known through the Dhurandhar series, played Yalina Jamali, the female lead and love interest of Ranveer Singh's character, Hamza Ali Mazari.

As Love & War approaches its finish, the focus is now shifting to Bhansali's next project, which will explore the life, personality, and era of one of Hindi cinema's most celebrated stars, Madhubala.
