Dhamaal 4 Movie Review Synopsis:
DHAMAAL 4 is about a group of funny and adventurous characters.
Guddu (Ajay Devgn) runs an antique shop with Johnny (Sanjay Mishra).He finds out that a man named Prithvi (Upendra Limaye) knows where a treasure hidden by a dangerous pirate called Shaitan Singh is.Before Prithvi can tell Guddu the location, he gets captured by another pirate named Adhoora (Ravi Kishan).Adhoora accidentally burns the map, but Prithvi uses this to his advantage since he now knows the exact spot.Adhoora can't kill Prithvi, so he keeps running and hides in a place called Chamboli.Guddu and Johnny go to Chamboli, and Guddu brings his girlfriend Aaliya's (Esha Gupta) kids, Amaira (Akshara Padwal) and Aarav (Riyansh Dabhi) along.On the way, they meet Prithvi and also run into Adi (Arshad Warsi), Adi's brother Manav (Jaaved Jaaferi), Adi's wife Rosy (Sanjeeda Shaikh), Lallan (Riteish Deshmukh), and Lallan's wife Paaro (Anjali Anand).They also learn about the treasure and decide to claim it for themselves.The rest of the movie follows what happens next.
Dhamaal 4 Movie Story Review:
The story by Paritosh Painter, Balvinder Singh Suri, Bunty Rathore, and Ved Prakash has all the elements of a wild and fun movie.
The screenplay is engaging and full of funny moments at regular intervals.However, it could have been more tightly written and creative.The dialogues are really funny and add a lot of humor to the film.One of the dialogues even references the director in a clever way.
Indra Kumar's direction is straightforward and commercial.
He keeps the story simple and classic, making it enjoyable for a wide audience.The humor is clean, so it's a family-friendly movie.Some scenes are really funny, like when the characters form a human chain to save Prithvi or when Adi pretends to be hurt to impress Rosy.The emotional part of the story is well-placed at the end.
On the other hand, many jokes don’t land as expected.
The ghost sequence fails to be funny.After the characters are introduced, the movie doesn’t hold much interest until they all meet near a cliff.Also, the film follows the same pattern as DHAMAAL [2007] and TOTAL DHAMAAL [2019], so it lacks originality.It's easy to predict where the plot is heading.Lastly, the emotional scene between Lallan and Paaro is meant to be sweet, but it might cause unintentional laughter in the theater.
Dhamaal 4 Movie Review Performances:
Ajay Devgn performs well as usual and brings a lot of laughter with his funny behavior.
Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi are a highlight and get the most of their funny scenes.Their emotional moments also work well.Riteish Deshmukh acts professionally.Sanjeeda Shaikh gives a decent performance.Anjali Anand plays a very cute role and gives a top-notch performance.Esha Gupta is okay in her special appearance.Ravi Kishan is perfectly cast as is Upendra Limaye.Vijay Patkar (Jheenga) is funny.The child actors Akshara Padwal and Riyansh Dabhi are very adorable.
Dhamaal 4 movie music and other technical aspects:
There is only one song in the movie, called 'Saree,' which is catchy and fun.
'Chatni' and 'Qeher' are played in the end credits.'Paisa Lao,' which is a recreated version of 'Bella Ciao,' is surprising.Amar Mohile's background music matches the film's mood.
Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary's cinematography is good.
Navin Shetty and Mehek Shetty's costumes are realistic and appealing.Swapnil Bhalerao and Madhur Madhavan's production design is theatrical.NY VFXWaala's visual effects are great in some parts but not so good in others.R P Yadav's action scenes are realistic.Sanjay Sankla's editing is okay but could have been better in the ghost scene.
