Ananya Panday was also mentioned.
Ikka features Sunny in the role of a feisty lawyer, which reminded people of his earlier film Damini (1993).
Sunny said, "I hadn't had a chance to do a character like this for a long time. Finally, I got the opportunity when Netflix offered me the film."
When talking about his co-star Akshaye Khanna, Sunny said, "We worked together in Border (1997) and he's a great guy.
Since then, we have a great rapport. Also, he is Vinod ji's son.So the bonding is even stronger."
Sunny is known for his action scenes, but Ikka doesn't have any of those.
He said, "There's no fighting in this film.It depends on the character. He's a sophisticated, family man who's forced to take action."
Sunny was seen with a clean-shaven look, and the journalists wondered if it was for a film.
Sunny didn't comment but said, "These days, looks are more important than acting.(Laughs) Acting has gone out of the window."
A journalist expressed hope that Ikka 2 would be made.
Sunny smiled and said, "Let's keep our fingers crossed. If people like it, there's definitely a chance for it.Until the film works, I don't think about that.(Laughs)"
Ikka won't have a theatrical release, but it will reach people all over the world.
Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh joked, "Half a kilo of hands will go all over the world!"
Finally, Sunny talked about being credited as "Dharmendra's son" in the film.
The same credit had also appeared in Border 2 (2026), which was released earlier this year.Sunny explained, "Wherever I go, people say, 'Dharmendra ka beta hai.'"
Will he be credited the same way in future films?
The star answered, "Yes," and added, "That's who I am.I'm my father's son. What else is there? If we do a good job, I'm sure my father would be proud, thinking, 'My son has done something good.'"
