Salman Khan’s Battle Of Galwan to release on Independence Day 2026

Earlier in the day, source shared that the much-anticipated film, Battle Of Galwan, might not be coming out on April 17 as planned. The news spread quickly online. Now, we have another update for you — the new release date for Salman Khan’s film.

A source told source, “Battle Of Galwan has been postponed and will now come out on August 14, 2026.

Salman Khan and the team believe this is a better date as India’s Independence Day is on August 15. The feeling of patriotism will be very strong, and Battle Of Galwan would be a great movie to watch during this time.”

The source added, “The makers are expected to officially announce the new release date of Battle Of Galwan soon.”

Earlier, it reported that a source explained why the delay happened.

“The shooting is not finished yet, and the reshoots are taking longer than expected. Starting from Monday, February 9, there will be a one-week schedule at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Mumbai. After that, there will be a few more days of shooting, and by the end of February, it will be complete.”

The source also said, “Director Apoorva Lakhia will start editing the reshot parts.
That’s not all. According to the rules, Battle Of Galwan has to be shown to the Ministry of Defence, and this process might take time. Because of these two reasons, the makers feel they won’t be able to meet the April 17 deadline. Salman Khan has told the team that such a special and patriotic film needs to be done carefully. He has asked them not to rush and to take their time to make sure the final movie looks good, exciting, and cinematic.”

Interestingly, Battle Of Galwan will now clash with Kartik Aaryan’s Naagzilla.
