Earlier, source had reported that the film was postponed from March 4, as a source said, "Pati Patni Aur Woh Do will not come out on March 4 as planned because post-production is not done yet, and one song is still being filmed. The team wants to make a special film and not rush. They want to take their time to ensure the final movie is entertaining and exciting for the audience. Hence, they chose to delay the release."
The new date supports that decision, giving the team more time to polish the final version.
Since the movie has a big cast and the comedy genre is popular, the change is seen as a smart move, not a problem.
The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra, with Juno Chopra as the creative producer.
It introduces Prajapati Pandey, with Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. While the story details are not revealed, the film is expected to bring the humor and situational comedy from the franchise, but with fresh ideas and new characters.
This film also marks a new collaboration between Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, along with Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh, making it one of the most awaited comedies coming up.
The previous movie, Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), directed by Mudassar Aziz and starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday, was a big hit, setting the stage for the sequel.
With the new release date set and high expectations, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is now getting ready for its theatrical debut in May 2026, positioned as a major summer release in the Hindi film industry.
