Fans of Anurag Kashyap have been waiting a long time for his much-loved movie, Kennedy, to come out.
Source has learned that the movie will finally be released in a month or two. Also, the trailer will be shown at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2026 in Mumbai.
According to the schedule shared on the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival website, the trailer will be shown on Sunday, February 8 at Cross Maidan in South Mumbai.
Anurag Kashyap, along with the film's star cast – Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat – will be there, and the three will talk about the movie in front of many people. The schedule says this event will give a strong and exciting end to the festival.
Kennedy first came out at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and was also shown at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in the same year at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.
The movie is made by Zee Studios, Ranjan Singh, and Kabir Ahuja. In 2025, Anurag Kashyap expressed his frustration about the delay in the movie's release. He told The Hollywood Reporter, "Where is Kennedy? And whose hands is it in? It's in the hands of people who have never made a film before. All the people who made the movie in the studio are gone. The people who are there only care about making shares rise and earning profits. That's all they care about. It doesn’t matter if Kennedy won awards at Cannes or had great feedback at other festivals. They’ve even seen the reaction in India, but where is the film?"
Since the trailer is being launched, there is hope that the movie will come out soon.
It's still unclear if it will be released next month or in March, and whether it will reach theatres or come directly on an OTT platform.
