Earlier news said that Dhurandhar, the big spy movie with Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, will start on Netflix on January 30 after a long and successful run in theaters. Now, new talk in the industry suggests the creators might bring out an uncut version of the film on OTT, which is making fans even more excited about its online release.
Even though the official Netflix date is still January 30 as earlier reported, the idea of a special cut has made people think the streaming version might include more than what was shown in theaters.
Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, kept people interested even after its theater release on December 5, 2025, thanks to its exciting action scenes, strong cast, and complex spy story.
Netflix bought the digital rights for the movie as part of an exclusive deal that also includes its second part, Dhurandhar 2. Together, the rights are worth around Rs 130 crore.
Experts think the OTT release was planned after a long theater run so the movie could get maximum money from theaters before being streamed.
By waiting until late January, the creators made sure Dhurandhar had enough time in theaters, allowing people to watch it on big screens before it comes online.
Although the idea of an uncut version has sparked a lot of interest, neither Netflix nor the team has officially said whether the streaming version will be different.
If there is a special cut, it could add extra scenes or content that were cut out for the theater version, creating even more excitement for the digital premiere.
As Netflix gets ready to show Dhurandhar to people all over the world, fans are excited not just for the story and the cast, but also for the possible chance to see it in a more complete form on OTT.
