With 120 Bahadur receiving some positive feedback, people were eager to see if word-of-mouth would lead to better numbers and if the collections would double on Saturday. However, that didn't quite happen. Even though the film made Rs. 2 crores on Friday, it only managed to reach Rs. 3.25 crores on Saturday. There was some growth, but a bigger increase was needed.
The Farhan Akhtar film is mostly playing in major multiplexes in key urban areas and is performing well in certain pockets.
However, the film's budget meant it needed to do well in all multiplexes across A centers. This helped Bhaag Milkha Bhaag become a Rs. 100 Crore Club hit, and that film also got some support from B centers. But 120 Bahadur is coming at a time when it's harder to get audiences to theaters, and that's reflected in the numbers so far.
The film's two-day total is Rs. 5.25 crores, and if this had been the opening day number, it would have been much better.
There's still a long way to go for 120 Bahadur, and now people are waiting to see if there's a noticeable increase today that could signal better attendance during the weekdays.
