Bollywood fan-favourites Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, who are best known for their amazing chemistry in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Bang Bang, are back—this time, in a new stylish advertisement.
The two reunite for a romantic campaign promoting a luxury watch brand, bringing fans joy with glimpses of their on-screen magic.
The ad, shared at the same time on both of their Instagram accounts, shows Hrithik giving a surprise gift to Katrina.
She opens the gift and sees the watch, smiling, as he says, “Something special, to celebrate us!†She replies, “It is perfect!†The ad ends with Hrithik whispering, “This feeling, this moment. The time is now.
Although the two stars appear together in the final shot, viewers quickly pointed out what seemed off.
One comment read, “Clearly the video is shot separately and bad editing.†Another fan added, “I think they shot this video separately… look again.†Others said, “I feel they haven’t even shared the screen space together. They both shot separately.†Someone else said, They shot the ad separately with both Katrina and Hrithik… why would you do that? It's evident in the last shot… spoils it.
Zoom TV also reported that netizens believed the ad was edited and filmed separately, pointing out that the final scene, meant to show eye contact between them, felt mismatched and disjointed.
Despite the criticism, the excitement over seeing the duo together again was strong.
As Times of India noted, the reunion stirred a wave of nostalgia, even as online discussions about separate shooting continued.
On the work front, Hrithiks latest release is War 2, a high-octane spy thriller released on August 14, which has crossed Rs. 200 crore in India, even as reviews and audience responses were mixed.
Katrina, meanwhile, was last seen in Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sethupathi in early 2024, and prior to that, she reprised her role as Zoya in Tiger 3 (2023) opposite Salman Khan.
