8 Years of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha: Prerna Arora wants sequel on Women’s Safety

This must be the only movie in the world with the word 'toilet' in its title?

Sir, I'm very proud of that movie, and I'm not sorry at all about the title.
The movie talked about an important issue—sanitation and hygiene for women. Even today, women who travel long distances often don’t have access to clean restrooms. Men can go anywhere, but for women, it's a completely different challenge.

That's true.
Do you think Toilet: Ek Prem Katha changed the way we think about women's hygiene?

I hope it did.
As a woman, I really connected with Bhumi Pednekar's character. I think we don’t talk about women’s issues enough.

I agree.
But your new movie Jatadhara is an action movie aimed at men?

Sir, you're wrong.
Jatadhara has a very strong female lead, played by Sonakshi Sinha. When you see her in the film, you will be surprised. I promise you.

Waiting to be surprised.
What's your favorite memory from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha?

It was Akshay Sir’s kindness, support, and confidence.
He encouraged all of us to give our best. Now, I want to make a sequel to Toilet: Ek Prem Katha that focuses on women's safety in public places.

Would Akshay be in that sequel?

If he agrees to be part of it, we would be very happy and honored.
