Hrithik Roshan returns as Kabir in War 2: Trailer teases high-octane clash with Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani

The highly awaited trailer for War 2, the sixth movie in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe, has finally been released. The trailer is 2 minutes and 39 seconds long and brings back Hrithik Roshan as Kabir, but this time he looks more dangerous and mysterious than before. 

Hrithik Roshan shared the trailer on X (formerly Twitter) and said, “It will not be easy to take sides in this War. 

” Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 features Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani in leading roles. The story presents a complex conflict with no clear right or wrong sides. The visuals suggest a battle of ideas, loyalty, and tactics, with Kabir right in the middle of everything. 

The trailer shows Hrithik dealing with themes like patriotism and love, while fighting against both Jr. 

NTR and Kiara Advani in intense action scenes. Ashutosh Rana is back as Colonel Luthra, adding more tension to the story. 

One scene references the first War (2019), where Hrithik’s Kabir remembers a fallen Captain Khalid Rahmani, a character originally played by Tiger Shroff. 

The dialogue connects the two films emotionally. 

War 2 also marks Hrithik’s first time working with Jr. 

NTR and Kiara Advani on screen. The trailer gives hints of their strong on-screen chemistry with Kiara and a fiery confrontation with Jr. NTR. It’s also Hrithik’s first project with director Ayan Mukerji, known for making fantasy and adventure movies. 

War, released in 2019, was the biggest-grossing Indian movie of that year, with Kabir becoming one of the most memorable action heroes in the YRF universe. 

War 2 continues that legacy with a new, more complex version of the character. Produced by Aditya Chopra, War 2 is set to release in theaters and IMAX screens around the world on August 14, 2025, just before Independence Day.
