Don 3 to recreate the magic of iconic track ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ starring Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon: Report

The long-awaited third movie in the Don series has had a lot of changes and delays since it was first announced. Ranveer Singh is now confirmed to play the new Don, taking over from Shah Rukh Khan. However, there’s been some big news about the female lead in the film. 

Don 3 is said to bring back the popular song “Aaj Ki Raat,” which was a hit in the original Don (2006), featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Isha Koppikar. 

The song is famous for its dance moves and cool visuals. Recent reports suggest that the film will include a similar energetic dance number, with Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon in the lead. 

Initially, Kiara Advani was set to play the main female character, but she has since left the project. 

Kriti Sanon is now stepping in, making her debut with Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh in the Don franchise. 

This move has sparked excitement as fans and media have taken note of Kriti’s recent Instagram post, where she wished Ranveer a happy birthday and wrote, “P. 

S. looking forward to working with you soon! ” Many believe this is a hint that she is indeed part of the movie. 

It’s also reported that Kriti will share the screen with another actress, recreating a trio setup like the original song sequence. 

Earlier, there were rumors that Sharvari would play the lead role, but this has now been replaced by Kriti. 

The film is expected to start shooting in January 2026 and release in theaters in December 2026. 

While the project has generated a lot of interest, Ranveer’s casting as the new Don has led to mixed reactions. Some fans have compared him to the previous actors who played the role—Amitabh Bachchan in the 1978 original and Shah Rukh Khan in the 2006 remake.
