Today, December 3, the Central Board of Film Certification approved the Hindi version, albeit with some cuts. The word "Ramavatar" has been removed and replaced with "Bhagwan". The word "Haram Zarda" has been removed thrice. It was replaced with "Haraamkhor" in all three places. There was an unspecified line in the cut list, which was changed to Hindi.
Then, a request was made to remove the scene showing a flying severed leg. The same scene was also in the original Telugu version and was censored even there. Finally, a mandatory no smoking warning was added to the smoking scene. The original Telugu version of Pushpa 2 - The Rule was released on November 28. In this version, the CBFC screening committee has asked the makers to remove the word "r***i" in three places. Similarly, a request was issued to remove the words "Denguddi" and "Venkateshwar". Apart from the severed leg scene, the protagonist is seen holding someone's severed arm. Here, the CBFC has asked the makers to enlarge the protagonist so that the violent scene is not visible on screen. Both the Hindi and Telugu versions of Pushpa 2 - The Rule are U/A certified and are 200.38 minutes long. Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, the action-entertainment film will hit theatres on December 5. Director Sukumar's previous film Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 (2021) was a surprise superhit in Hindi. The film was also widely watched in Hindi and Telugu. Hence, the excitement surrounding the sequel is unprecedented.
