Anil Kapoor to lock horns with Ajay Devgn in De De Pyaar De 2; might play Rakul Preet Singh’s father

The much-anticipated sequel to De De Pyaar De, starring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh, is titled De De Pyaar De 2. The movie is set to open in theaters on May 1, 2025, just in time for International Workers' Day and Maharashtra Day. It is expected to be a delightful hit with the audience. Anshul Sharma will direct the film this time around. In June 2024, filming is scheduled to begin. Currently, it is reported that the project has been assigned to Anil Kapoor. Interestingly, Kapoor and Devgn collaborated on the 2019 film Total Dhamaal.

Pinkvilla reported that Luv Ranjan has added another big name to the cast, according to sources close to the production. The buzz is that Anil Kapoor will assume a significant part in De Pyaar De 2. He might play Ayesha, aka Rakul Preet Singh's father, which would add a whole new dynamic to the drama and comedic elements of the family. According to a source, "Anil was blown away by the concept of DDPD 2, and he was an instant yes." The humor remainder in De Pyaar De 2 is supposed to be a level over the prequel, with a fascinating dynamic between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor."

The unconventional relationship between Ashish, a man in his 50s, and Ayesha, a woman in her 20s, was the focus of the original movie. Tabu was Ashish's former wife. While bits of hearsay are overflowing about Unthinkable returning for the spin-off, the producers are remaining quiet about her.

Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar from T-Series, close by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg from Luv Movies are creating the venture.
