Salman Khan made a stylish appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9, bringing his usual humor and long-standing friendship with host Karan Johar to the show. What started as a fun conversation quickly became something more when Salman brought up his well-known disagreement with Shah Rukh Khan, putting Karan in the middle of a discussion about one of Bollywood's most famous feuds.
During the show, Karan admitted that Salman had always made him feel nervous, saying, "No one makes me more stressed, nervous, and hyper than you.
I don’t know why, it hasn’t changed." Salman responded with a teasing question: "Is it because of you or because of someone else?" The comment seemed to point toward Shah Rukh Khan, with whom Salman once had a close friendship that reportedly turned sour in 2008.
The conflict between Salman and Shah Rukh became one of the biggest stories in Bollywood at the time.
The two had a strong relationship in the 1990s and appeared in several films together.Their friendship reportedly ended at a party hosted by Katrina Kaif in 2008.The incident was widely covered in the media, with some reports suggesting the disagreement was linked to Salman's relationships, especially with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, the exact cause of their falling out has never been clearly explained.
Karan Johar was also at the party, which added to the conversation since he is close friends with Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan.
This background made Salman’s playful questioning of Karan on the Koffee With Karan set even more interesting.
Salman added, "Right now you shouldn’t be stressed because everything is good.
It has been good for a long time," referring to the repaired relationship between him and Shah Rukh. The two famously seemed to put their differences aside when they met at a party hosted by politician Baba Siddique in 2013, ending years of speculation about their relationship.Salman wasn’t done joking, though. He said, "At one point, it wasn’t good. So, I could have understood that you were scared of me because of not you, because of Shah Rukh."
Karan didn’t push the conversation further, but Salman's honest remarks brought attention back to a part of Bollywood history that fans still talk about.
Today, Salman and Shah Rukh have a friendly relationship and support each other’s work, showing how much their friendship has grown since the big fallout.
