Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 vs Monster: Anupam Kher-starrer to take on Salman Khan’s Eid stronghold after 16 years

Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006) became a cult movie because of its unique but relatable story, funny and emotional scenes, great acting, and funny characters.It is also seen as one of the first movies that started the 'Delhi wave' in Bollywood.Because of this, people are very excited about its sequel, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2.The movie was originally set to come out on August 28, 2026.But on October 13, T-Series, the makers, announced it will now be released on March 5, 2027.

Monster is planned to be released on Eid 2027, which is expected to be on Wednesday, March 10.However, there's a chance the movie could come out on Friday, March 5, making it a possible clash with Monster.

This would be the first time in almost 16 years that a film has gone head-to-head with Salman Khan's Eid release..

The last time this happened was in 2011, when Bodyguard came out on August 31, the same day as Mummy Punjabi and Bol.Two days later, on September 2, That Girl In Yellow Boots also came out.

Since then, Salman has had several Eid releases, including Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Kick (2014), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Sultan (2016), Tubelight (2017), Race 3 (2018), Bharat (2019), Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023), and Sikandar (2025).

None of these faced a direct clash with another Eid movie.It was also thought that Raees might clash with Sultan on Eid 2016, but Raees was moved to Republic Day 2017.

This new release of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 is important.

Even if Monster comes out five days later, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 will be right before Salman's new movie, which is not something many filmmakers have tried in recent years.It's still unclear if the two movies will be on the same day or come out a few days apart.

Besides Anupam Kher, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 has Boman Irani, Ranvir Shorey, Parvin Dabas, Tara Sharma, and Kiran Juneja.

This time, they are joined by Ravi Kishan, Divya Khosla, Nishant Verma, Kangan Baruah Nangia, and Danish Iqbal.The movie is directed by Priya Mishra and Prashant Bhagia and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series Films, and Savita Raj Hiremath and Raj Hiremath's Tandav Films.
