Daler Mehndi controversy ends as Uttarakhand Minister Subodh Uniyal apologises; Mika Singh’s team reacts

The disagreement between veteran singer Daler Mehndi and Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal seems to have ended after the minister reportedly called Daler to say sorry. This was confirmed by Mika Singh's team, who welcomed the apology and stressed the importance of treating artists with respect and dignity.

Mika Singh's team issued an official statement expressing hope that the situation could now be settled.

The statement said, "We are happy that Subodh Uniyal ji has apologised to Daler Mehndi paaji over a phone call about the unfortunate incident.Respecting artists and their dignity is very important. Daler paaji is a senior artist who has given a lot to the music industry, and all artists deserve to be treated with respect. We hope this matter can now be left behind and everyone can move forward with mutual respect and understanding."

The conflict started at the Siddhpeeth Maa Kunjapuri Tourism and Development Fair in New Tehri, Uttarakhand, where Daler Mehndi was invited to perform.

During the event, Uniyal came on stage and questioned Daler's behavior in front of the audience. The minister claimed that Daler was drunk, not performing well, and was lip-syncing at a religious event during Navratri.

This incident led to a lot of criticism from people in the entertainment industry, with many artists worrying about how senior musicians are treated in public.

The case also sparked a bigger discussion about the respect and dignity performers should be given, no matter what happens during a live show.

As the situation grew more serious, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami tried to calm things down between the two sides.

Before Uniyal directly apologised to Daler, Mika Singh talked about his conversation with the Chief Minister, thanking him for handling the matter with care and respect.

Mika said that Dhami was a humble and approachable leader who treated him warmly and respectfully.

According to the singer, the Chief Minister also expressed regret on behalf of the cabinet minister for the incident.

While appreciating Dhami's efforts, Mika made it clear that he did not hold the Chief Minister responsible for what happened.

He reportedly told Dhami that there was no need for him to apologise, because he hadn't been involved in the incident. However, Mika insisted that the minister who had interrupted the performance should directly talk to Daler Mehndi about it.

Mika also shared that Dhami had invited both of them to perform again in Uttarakhand, showing his willingness to rebuild the relationship with the music community.

Now that Subodh Uniyal has reportedly apologised to Daler Mehndi over the phone, this is a positive step towards resolving the conflict.

The incident, which caught attention from across the entertainment industry, has also shown the need for respectful communication between public officials and artists.
