The film has performed well in the mass markets, especially in the Bihar region, thanks to the inclusion of the Chatth Pooja element.
However, the initial reports are not very strong, and the film is expected to see a drop in earnings over the weekend.Morning and noon showings suggested a potential start of around Rs.8 crore, but the word of mouth has reduced the actual earnings to about Rs.7 crore.
The opening is similar to the performance of "Param Sundari," which was Sidharth's last movie, but that's not a big positive since the reports are uncertain.
The national chains are expected to earn around Rs.3.50 crore, which is about 50% of the total business. The lower ratio is because the film performed better in the mass markets.
"The Vvaan" has high production costs, and it would have been ideal if it had opened in double digits to be successful.
However, the opening so far is good for appearances as it has done better than all the pre-release predictions.
