Akshay Kumar-Anees Bazmee’s Mauja Hi Mauja lands a BIG Rs. 60 crore distribution deal with PVR Inox

Akshay Kumar and comedy are closely linked, and when Anees Bazmee is involved, the expectations are even higher.Reliable sources say that the all-India distribution rights for Akshay Kumar's upcoming film with Anees Bazmee have been sold for a big amount of Rs.60 crores.

"This is similar to the 'Monster' film in that it's an advance deal based on commission.

This is one of the larger deals Akshay Kumar has secured since the pandemic, and the leading exhibition chain is confident about making good profits with this comedy film," a source told.

The source also mentioned that the film is currently called Mauja Hi Mauja and is planned for a 2027 release.

"A new release date will be decided by Dil Raju, Akshay Kumar, and PVR Inox in the next 15 days.A Rs.60 crore deal means the break-even point is around Rs.130 crores, which is very possible for a clean comedy like Mauja Hi Mauja," the source added.

The film also features Vidya Balan and Raashi Khanna in important roles, and the filming was completed in July.
