Ahmed Khan confirms next film with Akshay Kumar after Welcome to the Jungle success

Director Ahmed Khan has confirmed that his next movie will bring him back together with Akshay Kumar after the success of Welcome to the Jungle.The filmmaker said that the good response to the film has made the longtime friends want to work again, adding a new part to their long relationship that has been going on for over thirty years.

When talking about the upcoming project, Khan said that they are still discussing things and looking at several ideas before choosing one.

"Because Welcome to the Jungle was a hit, we had to work together again.I am really happy with the film’s success, and everyone in the cast is also happy.Akshay and I are planning something soon.We are looking into a few different types of movies—like action comedy, romantic action drama, and a full action film.Even Akshay has a script he shared with me.We need to pick one of our ideas and then finalise the date.Once that’s done, we’ll make the announcement."

This news also clears up some recent rumors about Khan’s next film.

Earlier, some reports had suggested he was making a zombie comedy with Tiger Shroff and Shanaya Kapoor, while others mentioned Welcome 4.However, Khan said those were not true.He made it clear that his immediate plan is to work again with Akshay Kumar.

Commenting on the rumors, he said, "Rumors come up when a movie is successful, but not everything is true.

My next film is with Akshay.It’s a pleasure working with someone so professional as him.I enjoy action films and can do them on a bigger scale with Akshay.Dance, action, drama—everything comes naturally with him."

While there are some industry guesses that either Firoz A.

Nadiadwala or Sajid Nadiadwala might be backing the new movie, Khan didn’t share any production details, just saying, "I have good relationships with both.They love Akshay and me."

Meanwhile, Ahmed Khan is also getting ready for the release of his home production Baap, which includes Mithun Chakraborty, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, and Jackie Shroff.

He shared an update saying, "Zee Studios is finalising the release date and marketing of the film.I have finished the movie and handed it over to them.It’s their project now." The action movie is expected to be released in theatres later this year.
