The Jannat series is an important part of Emraan Hashmi's film work.
He played the main character, Arjun Dixit, in both Jannat and Jannat 2.More than ten years after the second movie, the team is now thinking about making a third film in the series.
In an interview with Zoom, Vishesh Bhatt was asked about Jannat 3.
He confirmed that the project is being considered and said, "After Awarapan, I am definitely looking into Jannat 3." When asked if the script was ready, he said the writing is currently in progress.
Bhatt's update comes right after Awarapan 2 did well at the box office.
The sequel, which came out on August 14, made around Rs 81 crores net in India in the first three days, with worldwide earnings reaching Rs 110 crores, according to current estimates.
The film has also become Emraan Hashmi's highest-grossing solo movie in India, giving him a big boost in terms of commercial success.
The good response to the sequel seems to have made people more interested in bringing back other movies from his earlier work.
The original Jannat was directed by Kunal Deshmukh and produced by Mahesh Bhatt.
It starred Emraan Hashmi along with Sonal Chauhan.The story followed Arjun Dixit, who gets involved in match-fixing while trying to get rich and successful.The second movie, Jannat 2, came out in 2012 and had Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, and Esha Gupta.It focused on the illegal arms trade.
With the script for Jannat 3 now in progress, fans of the series are keeping a close eye on any new news about the project and whether Emraan Hashmi might return as Arjun Dixit.
