The movie Welcome To The Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, experienced a usual drop in box office earnings on Wednesday.It had remained steady on Tuesday with earnings of Rs.8.78 crore.On Day 6, which is Wednesday, the comedy film saw a decrease in collections due to the usual weekday effect.
According to early reports, Welcome To The Jungle made between Rs.6 to Rs.6.5 crore on Wednesday.The film opened with Rs.14.80 crore on Friday, followed by Rs.20.19 crore on Saturday and Rs.24.55 crore on Sunday.After a strong first weekend, it earned Rs.8.24 crore on Monday and a small increase on Tuesday with Rs.8.78 crore.
The drop on Wednesday was about 29 percent compared to Tuesday, which is expected for a midweek day.
The total earnings for the first six days, without including paid previews, now stand at around Rs.82.78 crore.When adding in the paid previews of Rs.3.93 crore, the total is approximately Rs.86.71 crore.
The film is still performing well after its strong weekend, and the weekday trend shows it's holding strong.
It will now try to stay consistent on Thursday and enter its second weekend with enough momentum to do better at the box office.
Everyone is watching the film's performance on Day 7.If Thursday is steady, Welcome To The Jungle can end its first week on a positive note and prepare for a strong second weekend.
