So far, the movie has already sold Rs.
35 crores worth of tickets just for the first day, and there are still about 36 hours left before the film officially releases.The final advance bookings could reach up to Rs.50 crores, which would make it a huge success right from the start.
For those who may not know, Avengers: Endgame made Rs.
53.50 crores on its opening day.Spider-Man is hoping to beat that and start with around Rs.55 to 60 crores.However, walk-ins might be low because most of the tickets in big cities are already sold out.
The film has already sold around 3.75 lakh tickets in the top three cinema chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis – and is expected to sell up to 5 lakh tickets on opening day alone.
The pre-sales are also doing really well in smaller chains and single-screen theaters, which means the exhibitors are expecting a very busy week.
Spider-Man is on track to make history, as the movie is still selling a lot of tickets during the extended opening weekend.
The total earnings for the four-day period could reach as high as Rs.225 crores in India.
