In recent times, very few movies have created as much buzz as Ramayana.The marketing started almost a year and a half before the film's release, in July 2025.Since then, the team has been organizing events around the globe, with more planned.Finally, the much-anticipated trailer was released online on the morning of July 30.Bollywood Hungama got an early look at the trailer 10 days before its public release at a cinema in Mumbai, and it was clear that watching it on a big screen in 3D was a special experience.

The earlier promotional material focused on Lord Rama, played by Ranbir Kapoor, while the trailer introduces several other characters.

However, the character that stands out the most is Ravana, played by Yash.The trailer opens with him, and the way he is presented is sure to impress viewers.His fierce appearance and action scenes are especially eye-catching.Many actors have played Ravana before, but Yash's portrayal is unique and distinct, without a doubt.

Meanwhile, Lord Rama, known as Maryada Purushottam, also gets a lot of attention.

Ranbir Kapoor’s performance looks graceful and divine, creating a perfect contrast with Ravana’s arrogant personality.

Besides Yash, Sai Pallavi also makes a strong impression as Sita.

She looks poised and convincing.Other actors like Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Ravie Dubey, Arun Govil, and Vivek Oberoi also appear in the trailer.Unfortunately, Sunny Deol, who plays Lord Hanuman, does not feature in the four-minute-plus trailer.But there are no complaints, as the trailer does a great job of building excitement for Ramayana.

The scale of the film is impressive, and the 3D effects are also very good.

A particular sequence featuring Airavata, the divine white elephant, is especially beautiful.However, there are a few small issues.The grandeur is similar to that of Baahubali and may not surpass it.While this might not be a big problem, with reports suggesting more than Rs.1,000 crores has been spent on the film, one would expect the visuals and scale to be even better.Fortunately, this is just a minor issue and is unlikely to impact the overall excitement around the film.

The trailer is certain to draw a huge audience, and moviegoers will get the chance to watch it in all its glory on the big screen alongside Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
