He wrote, "You are a revered champion and one day a defeat stares at you...this is the most difficult phase of your life...some brave it...some give up...those who keep trying and stay brave remain champions...those who don't, live in the past glory...each person makes their own choice...nothing is wrong with either...be well, be happy."
Although he confirmed that he had surgery, he didn't say why or give more details about his health condition.
Despite this, the actor has stayed active lately.
His blog shows he had his regular Sunday darshan with fans on July 19 and was meeting fans consistently throughout July.He was also meeting fans weekly in May and June and posting about his work. This shows the surgery and hospital stay happened before his recent public appearances.
Earlier this year, there were reports saying Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital due to health issues.
The talk started after a journalist, Vickey Lalwani, posted a video claiming the actor had been in the hospital for stomach problems. But these reports were later denied by people close to him.
A PTI report later explained that the actor had only gone to the hospital for a routine check-up and came back the same day.
The report said, "He went in for a routine health check-up and came back home.He usually goes every month for a check-up."
With his latest blog, Bachchan has confirmed he had surgery and is focused on recovery, though he hasn't shared more details about his health.
