T P Aggarwal told Bollywood Hungama, "As you know, I was the president of IMPPA for 17 years and also the president of the Film Federation of India (FFI).
We had a judgment from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) when I was in IMPPA against FWICE. The judgment clearly said they can't take such decisions or enter into someone's premises. At the same time, I was planning to make a film and thought about working with Sanjay Dutt and Ranveer Singh. That's when I found out about the no-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh."
He shared his concerns about FWICE's actions, saying, "You want to make sure the actor gets work wherever they can.
If you do that, everyone's livelihood will be affected. That's why I decided to go to the court."
When asked if FWICE officials reached out to him after he filed the case, T P Aggarwal replied, "Why should they contact me (laughs)?
They should have talked to me before making this decision. After all, they know me well and are aware that I was the former president of IMPPA. If they try to show off their power by acting like gangsters, that won't work, will it? They can't do that."
Finally, has he spoken to Ranveer Singh about this?
T P Aggarwal answered, "No, I haven't. I didn't take this step so that Ranveer would come and talk to me. I don't need that kind of attention."
