Mumbai has already sold 50 percent of the tickets, while Hyderabad and Bangalore have sold 75 percent and 60 percent respectively.
The audience is pushing exhibitors to offer more showtimes for the rest of the weekend so they can book their seats early. The excitement around this movie is like nothing we've seen in a long time. It's like the success of Baahubali 2 back in 2017.
The advance sales for the rest of the weekend are expected to open tomorrow morning because the paid previews are running out of tickets.
So far, Dhurandhar 2 has sold tickets worth Rs. 27 crore for the paid previews, and this number could go up to Rs. 35 crore by the day of the actual release. The paid previews are expected to bring in around Rs. 40 crore, which is a new record, way ahead of the previous record of Rs. 10 crore set by Stree 2.
In terms of multiplex chains, Dhurandhar 2 has already sold 2.60 lakh tickets across the top three multiplexes for the paid previews.
It’s aiming for a historic 3.50 lakh tickets, which could set a long-lasting record. Everyone is now waiting to see what kind of numbers the full opening day and weekend will bring, starting from tomorrow.
