Varun Dhawan reveals that Salman Khan told him “Proud of you, beta” after watching Border 2; also reveals, “Both Sunny Deol and my wife tell me ki zyada bolo mat!”

Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Medha Rana, Anya Singh, Bhushan Kumar, Nidhi Dutta, Anurag Singh and others were at a press event for their movie Border 2 at a fancy hotel in Mumbai. It was one of the best events of the year because the actors gave great quotes, made the press laugh and also touched their hearts by sharing heartfelt stories. Varun Dhawan was heavily criticized before the film came out, but all the negative comments stopped once people realized he had given one of his best performances. He talked about it for the first time and also said that superstar Salman Khan supported him.

Varun said, “The people who stand by you in tough times are really important.

 One of them is Salman bhai. He called me late at night. He was laughing about what was happening and then said, ‘Good things are about to come!’ His words and belief meant a lot to me. When Border 2 came out and did really well, he called me again. He said, ‘I’m really happy for all of you.’ Then he said something that stays with me. It was 2 am and when he told me that, I was literally standing on my bed! He said, ‘I’m proud of you, beta!’ That was a really special moment for me because he doesn’t praise people easily.”

Varun continued, “He didn’t have to do that, but he gave me a lot of confidence.

 In the end, I believed in the film and Lord Krishna.”

A journalist asked Varun about his wife Natasha Dalal’s reaction.

 He replied, “My wife watched the film and was very happy. She told me, ‘I always knew you had it in you. You just have to challenge yourself.’ She also said, ‘Don’t post too much. Don’t show too much. Don’t talk too much. She also says don’t talk too much at home. She says she talks too much outside too (smiles). Sunny sir and his wife are saying the same thing (laughs).”
