Mona Singh on being a part of Kohrra Season 2, says expectations made it “Daunting”

Actor Mona Singh has shared her thoughts about joining the second season of Netflix's crime drama Kohrra. She said she was already really impressed by the show before she got involved.

In an interview  Mona explained that her love for the first season was a big reason she agreed to be in the second one.

 When she was asked to join, she felt excited but also a little nervous because the show had already made a strong name for itself. She called the experience both "exciting" and "daunting," because of the high expectations after the first season's success.

In Season 2, Mona plays Inspector Dhanwant Kaur, a key character in the new storyline.

 She said what attracted her was the strong writing and realistic storytelling, which makes Kohrra different from regular crime thrillers. Season 2 of Kohrra started on Netflix on February 11, 2026, and continues the show's tough, realistic storytelling set in Punjab's countryside.

The show has been getting a lot of attention for its acting and deep storylines.

 Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap also praised Season 2, calling it "unmissable and unmistakably world class," which has increased the excitement around the new season.

Mona's role in Kohrra adds to her list of strong roles, including Kaala Paani and Made in Heaven.

 With Kohrra 2, she keeps exploring serious, character-driven stories, showing her versatility as an actor.
