Mardaani 3 did well during its second weekend, with more than Rs. 10 crores coming in. After its first weekend was lower than that of Mardaani 2, it looked like the film might only last a few days and maybe run for just two weeks. But then, each weekday brought in more than Rs. 2 crores, which gave new hope about how well the second weekend would do.
Friday brought in Rs. 2.15 crores, which was better than Thursday's Rs. 2 crores.
Saturday saw a big jump, reaching Rs. 3.85 crores, and Sunday also did well, collecting Rs. 4.55 crores. This is great because the film, starring Rani Mukherji, is now at Rs. 37.10 crores, which was once thought to be its highest total.
Along the way, the film has also crossed the lifetime total of Mardaani, which was Rs. 35.82 crores, in just 10 days.
Mardaani came out 12 years ago in 2014, and a lot has changed in terms of how films are released and ticket prices. But from a credibility point of view, this is still impressive. The next target is Mardaani 2's lifetime total of Rs. 47.57 crores, which the film is expected to surpass eventually.
