Rakesh Roshan drops MAJOR update about Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 4 – “Film to release in 2027”

This year has been really important for the Roshan family in many different ways. 2025 started with them being in the spotlight. First, their show *The Roshans* was released on Netflix, and then their movie *Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai* (2000) was re-released. It also marked Hrithik Roshan's 25th year as an actor, and this milestone was celebrated in a big way.

Two months later, it was announced that Hrithik would take over from his father, Rakesh Roshan, and direct *Krrish 4*.

 Recently, Source talked to Rakesh Roshan on his 76th birthday, and during the conversation, he shared some major news about *Krrish 4*.

Rakesh Roshan is known for planning things very carefully and creating detailed plans before starting a project.

 *Krrish 4* is no different. He said, “The script didn’t take much time. The challenge was the budget. Now that we know exactly how much money we need, we’ll start the film.”

With the Roshan family’s usual hard work and discipline, the project is well-prepared before it begins.

 Rakesh Roshan explained the timeline, “The work is already in full swing. We plan to start the shoot by the middle of next year. This is because the pre-production for this film is much more involved than before. So we need to be fully ready before we begin.”

When asked if the shoot would run until the end of 2026, Rakesh Roshan said yes.

 So, will *Krrish 4* come out in 2027 or 2028? He replied, “We plan to release it in 2027.”

*Krrish 4* is the fourth movie in the superhero series, with the first three being *Koi Mil Gaya* (2003), *Krrish* (2006), and *Krrish 3* (2013).

 All of these were directed by Rakesh Roshan. Interesting fact: *Krrish 4* is co-produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF). This is the first time YRF has worked with the production company of the senior Roshan, Filmkraft.
