She said that being successful in the industry takes a lot of passion, hard work, and determination. “Nothing comes easy, there are no shortcuts,” she said, which caught the attention of many young actors who want to break into the film industry without any background or connections.
For those coming from outside the film industry, the path can be even harder.
Kriti explained, “There will be times when no one is giving you anything on a platter. People will tell you why it's too big a dream, why it can't happen, or what's wrong with you—too short, too tall, too thin.” She described how new actors often face a lot of negativity about their looks, talent, and knowledge of the industry.
But she encouraged people not to lose hope.
“People will tell you what's wrong with you; no one will tell you that you can do it other than you,” she said. She urged people to believe in themselves and keep going, especially when support isn’t around.
Looking at the bigger picture, Kriti talked about the need for patience in an industry that often celebrates quick success.
“You need to be driven, passionate, and patient,” she said. “It will come when the time is right, but you have to keep working on yourself.” She saw delays as chances to grow and improve. “Maybe it's taking so long because you need that time to get better,” she added.
Her message was full of hope: “So it will happen when the time is right.
I promise you that, but you have to be at it.”
Kriti’s journey reflects her message.
As an actress turned producer, she launched *Do Patti* and has continued to do great things both in front of and behind the camera. She’s currently filming *Tere Ishk Mein*, where she plays alongside Dhanush under the direction of Aanand L. Rai. She’s also working on *Cocktail 2*, directed by Homi Adajania, though details about the project are still being kept private.
Kriti Sanon continues to break barriers in the industry.
Her speech at SheShakti 2025 serves as a powerful reminder that while success in Bollywood doesn’t just fall from the sky, it’s there for those who never give up.
