Just a day ago, we told you that NTR Jr.
is getting Rs. 70 crores as salary for War 2, while Hrithik Roshan is earning Rs. 50 crores with some profit share. Now, there’s a new development. Reliable trade sources have confirmed that YRF has sold the Telugu rights of War 2 to Naga Vamsi for Rs. 90 crores upfront.
A trade source told , “Naga Vamsi has bought the Telugu rights for War 2 for Rs.
90 crores. All the profits from the Telugu theatrical run will now go to Naga Vamsi, and YRF gets back Rs. 90 crores from the deal, which was made with a budget of Rs. 400 crores. The Telugu rights issue is now settled between the two parties. ”
As part of a smart move, Naga Vamsi and NTR Jr.
have come to an agreement to share the profits from the Telugu version of the film. “After getting a big salary of Rs. 70 crores, NTR Jr. is now also getting a share from the Telugu version’s profits. He might end up with more than Rs. 100 crores in total, as the Telugu version of War 2 is expected to make a lot of money. Neither YRF nor Hrithik will get a share of the Telugu profits; it will go to NTR Jr. and Naga Vamsi,” the same source said.
On the other hand, Hrithik has a direct deal with YRF, where a percentage of the film’s overall profits will be shared with him.
From YRF’s perspective, the Telugu revenue is fixed at Rs. 90 crores. Any extra money earned beyond that will go to Naga Vamsi and NTR Jr. , who have acquired the film on a minimum guarantee basis.
War 2 is set to release on August 14, 2025, directed by Ayan Mukerji.
