Saiyaara Box Office: Mohit Suri-directorial sells 2,059 tickets in MovieMax; beats Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Sitaare Zameen Par; all set for a double-digit opening

Even before its premiere, Mohit Suri's love film Saiyaara, which stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, was a major surprise. Without any formal notification, advance reservations for some movie theaters opened on Monday, and it got off to a great start. We will concentrate on the MovieMax chain of multiplexes' ticket sales in this Bollywood Hungama special segment.

Saiyaara has sold 2,059 tickets across its 19 theaters and 77 screens as of Wednesday, July 16 at 11:15 a.m. Given that Saiyaara is only two days away from being released, the figure is remarkable. As is customary, Wednesday and Thursday witness a significant spike in ticket purchases. Therefore, whether it can surpass the 5000 or 6000 barrier is still up in the air.

In terms of MovieMax's top advance booking grossers, Saiyaara now holds the 28th position. Jurassic World: Rebirth (2087), Badass Ravi Kumar (2400; had the Rs. 99 offer), Fighter (2850), Sikandar (3700), Kalki2898 AD (5100), Dunki (6300), Brahmastra (6500), Singham Again (7000), Jawan (17,500), Animal (18,600), Stree 2 (21,870), Chhaava (21,900), and Pushpa 2 – The Rule (22,500) are a few of the films that are scheduled to be released before it.

In the meantime, Saiyaara has outperformed well-known movies like Kesari Chapter 2 (1146 tickets), Sitaare Zameen Par (1262 tickets), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1175 tickets), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (1,400 tickets), etc. All of these movies made over Rs. 10 crores at the box office. Therefore, it would not be incorrect to assume that Saiyaara will likewise be able to open in double digits.

Given the momentum, it is anticipated to surpass the mark that Fighter and Sikandar set. The question is whether it can outperform movies like Dunki, Brahmastra, Singham Again, and others.

However, as of Wednesday at 11:00 am, Saiyaara had sold an incredible 45,000 tickets across all national chains, including 11,500 at Cinepolis and 33,500 at PVR Inox.
