Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani in talks for slice-of-life film after 11 years: Report

For over a decade since the last film PK, actor Aamir Khan and film director Rajkumar Hirani have been in high-level discussion to combine them for their new projects. A report by Pinkvilla says that potential cooperation in 2026 will have to start production even if the film remains without the title for the time being. According to the report, the idea for the film came after Rajkumar Hirani weighed several concepts

Rajkumar Hirani played three ideas and finally decided to move on with the topic. He discussed the same thing with Aamir Khan and the actors also loved the world that Raju developed,” a source from Pink Villa said. The next director, Rajkumar Hiranis, is not working even if he doesn't have a job yet.

The film is still in its early stages, but it has strong mutual interest. Sources revealed that elements of the film's slices are combined with the genre of comedy and inspiration. Further production decisions are expected to be completed after Sitaare Zamen Pars creates the theatre.

Other collaborations on the Wait Loop
In addition to his project with Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani has also discussed other actors. Discussions took place for separate films with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, but the conflict plans have made progress. "Rajkumar Hirani has reserved these two ideas in the near future with either RK or VK," the source said. Hirani currently works in the web series before focusing entirely on the Aamir Khan project.
