Kesari 2 press conference: Akshay Kumar BREAKS silence on Jaya Bachchan’s shocking comments on Toilet – Ek Prem Katha: “Agar unhone kaha hai toh sahi hoga…”

Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, producers Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and director Karan Singh Tyagi attended Kesari 2 press conference at an aesthetically appealing cinema in Mumbai. Akshay was asked to comment on the latest account of Jaya Bachchan's film Toilet Ek Prem Katha (2017) on criticism and commercial success. 

The journalist asked him to criticize not only internet users but also people within the industry for their film choices. The reporter did not call Jaya Bachchan. Akshay Kumar replied: I don't think anyone criticized my film. Koi Bewakof hi Hoga has criticized films like Padman, Toilet, Ekpremkata, Airbridge, and Keseri 2. I made these films with all my heart. These films let people know so many things. 

When the journalist revealed that he had said Jaya Bachchan's comments, he replied: "Aga Unland Kaha Hai To Sahi Hoga. 

Jaya Bachchan said: Yeh Koi title shark? bataiye aap logo me se kitne log is tarah ki title wali film dechesjayge.â 

Akshay Kumar also responded to comments from Caroline Dyer, great grandson of General Reginald Dyer, who led the British army at Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Kesari 2 is based on this shocking episode. 

The star said: »National trauma is a lesson from another country. She didn't understand that. She kept saying, "History Hai, Bour Jao, Katam Karo." I don't think she understood the lesson and what we went through. What Karan said about it, I appreciated it and the way he said it was absolutely correct. 

He added: Once the film reaches its climax, you realize how much anger it was. I would say you feel angry when you watch a movie. 

Kesari 2 was released in cinemas on April 18th.
