Jaat Box Office: Sunny Deol starrer opens on expected lines, has a decent Thursday

In this column, it was predicted that Jaat would open an opening for Rs. 7-9 crore with an outside chance to meet Rs. 10 crawl mark. Well, the collection was on expected lines such as Rs. 9.62 crores worked. This is actually a good thing, as it is separated by decent numbers and is very difficult to find if it is considered in the current cash scenario. Movies aren't just about fighting. They absolutely fail to the left and to the center, and therefore are as decent as the alas relief where something was welcomed. 

The film mainly functions internally, with multiplexes returning on individual screens. Despite its title, metropolis like Gurgaon, a core multiplex, show little collection if things should be much better here. But the fact that the other areas where the film has found audiences is a good sign, especially since this is an extended weekend and is now coming to Sunday. 

To think about that, Sunny Deol has done these numbers at the age of 67 as a solo lead. This is a performance that no other Bollywood superstar has ever done. Everything else in the early 80s passed on to today's ensemble issues and plays the role of today's character. With the complete drought that Bollywood faces now, Sunny Deol could possibly appear as another top hero, even if he succeeded in Lahore in 1947.
