Shah Rukh Khan REACTS to PM Narendra Modi’s announcement of WAVES 2025, calls it “occasion that champions and fosters creativity”: “It is with great anticipation that I look forward to”

Actor Shah Rukh Khan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for the 2025 World Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVES) Summit, highlighting its potential to strengthen India's position in the global media and entertainment sector, as well as its entry into social media platforms. 

Reacting to PM Modi's announcement, Shah Rukh Khan said, "I look forward with great anticipation to WAVES, the world summit on film and entertainment, being held in our country. It is an opportunity to celebrate our industry, recognize its role in the Indian economy and its strength as soft power, and above all, encourage and support creativity." 

The actor's comments echo PM Modi's views, who described the WAVES Summit as a defining moment for the Indian creative world. Announcement by PM Modi 

In episode 117 of his radio show "Mann Ki Baat" on Sunday, PM Modi formally announced the WAVES Summit. He explained: "Next year, the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) will be held in our country for the first time. The WAVES Summit will bring together media and entertainment industry giants and creative minds in India. This summit is a key step towards making India a global content creation hub." 

PM Modi also highlighted India's focus on innovation and talent development, highlighting the inclusion of young creators.
