Baby John Box Office: Varun Dhawan starrer crashes further on Monday

Baby John continued to plummet on Monday, which is not surprising at all now. The trend was already visible on Thursday when the film dropped by over 50% and then only settled in the Rs 400-500 crore range for the rest of the week. Hence, it was predictable that there would be no respite even with the resumption of weekdays. 

Despite now being in the New Year season with better footfall than normal days, Baby John managed only Rs 1.8 crore and failed to make a profit. On the other hand, one could also consider that even if this amount of revenue was due to the holiday season, the revenue could have been even lower without it. Still, this is not an issue as the revenue has fallen to a very low level and the film will be in theaters for only one week from now. So far, the Varun Dhawan-starrer has grossed Rs 30.18 crore. Even considering that the film will benefit from a holiday as New Year falls on Wednesday, it is unlikely to reach the Rs 400 crore mark as collections will fall on Thursday. All this means that despite having no screenings till January 10, the film will only gross Rs 500 crore, after which it will be removed from theatres.
