Ranbir Kapoor to feature in Dhoom 4; YRF franchise to get a reboot WITHOUT Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra: Report

YRF's Dhoom, one of Bollywood's most beloved franchises, is set to return! There has been a lot of talk about the franchise's revival in the past, even though the last movie in the series came out more than a decade ago. Fans have been looking forward to seeing how this franchise develops, and there are both good and bad news for them! The good news is that Dhoom 4 will not feature the franchise regulars Abhishek Bachchan as Inspector Jay and Uday Chopra as his sidekick Ali, despite reports that it is indeed in production with Ranbir Kapoor playing the lead role.

Ranbir Kapoor snapped at Linking Road. According to a source, "Dhoom is a franchise that is dear to Aditya Chopra, and he has decided to reboot the franchise in keeping with the times of the present." The script for Dhoom 4 (Dhoom Reloaded) was written by Aditya Chopra and Vijay Krishna Acharya, just like the other parts. With the fourth Dhoom movie, the goal is to create a cinematic experience unlike any other. For a very long time, I've been having conversations with Ranbir. After hearing the basic concept, he had always expressed interest in being a part of Dhoom 4, and now he has been confirmed to lead the franchise. The source went on to say that Adi Chopra thinks RK is the best person to carry on the Dhoom legacy.

In addition, it has been asserted that this will be more like a reboot with a new cast and storyline because new actors will play the investigative team of Inspector Jay and amateur sleuth and biker Ali. In Dhoom 4, the duo of cop buddies will be played by two big heroes from the younger generation. The team will move on to the casting stage now that the core storyboard has been locked down. According to the source, "Dhoom 4 will not only be the largest Dhoom film, but also a tentpole feature film of global standard from Indian Cinema."

Dhoom 4 is said to be Ranbir Kapoor's 25th feature film, and the actor made the decision to join the project on his birthday, September 28. Additionally, it has been reported that the actor will be reprising his role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal Park, a sequel to the blockbuster Animal from 2023. In addition, Ranbir is working on Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana trilogy and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War with Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt as his wife.
