Rohit Roy’s daughter Kiara Bose Roy to be launched opposite Sajid Nadiadwala’s son Subhan in Aisi Deewangi

Sajid Nadiadwala is the third-generation member of his family to work in the film industry. His son, Subhan, has recently entered the world of cinema as an actor. In the final week of March, Subhan began filming for his debut film in Mumbai. There have been reports circulating about his debut film, titled *Aisi Deewangi*, but details about the female lead were previously unknown. However, source has now confirmed that Kiara Bose Roy, the daughter of Rohit Roy and Manasi Joshi Roy, will be starring opposite Subhan in the film.

A source told source, "Kiara is very beautiful and very talented.
Director Shashank Khaitan realized that she’s apt for the part and that’s how she came on board. They are confident that viewers will be blown away by her acting talent and screen presence."

Meanwhile, industry sources also claimed that Kiara Bose Roy may adopt Airah Bose Roy as her screen name, though Bollywood Hungama could not verify this claim.

Speaking of *Aisi Deewangi*, a report in Mid-Day mentioned that the film went on floors on Monday, March 23, at an under-construction building near DN Nagar, Andheri West, Mumbai.
On the first day of his first film, Subhan shot for an action sequence where he fought nearly 60 trained fighters. The Mid-Day story carried a quote from a source who said, “The director mounted a stylized action block for the opening day. It was a physically demanding shoot for someone who hasn’t done this before, but Subhan had been training for months for this sequence.”

Interestingly, Kiara Bose Roy is a third-generation film personality.
Her mother, Manasi Joshi Roy, is the daughter of the legendary Gujarati film and theatre actor, playwright, and director Arvind Joshi. Arvind Joshi was also the father of Sharman Joshi, who is known for his exemplary work in cinema and on stage.

Namit Malhotra rejects historic Rs. 700 crore OTT bid for Ranbir Kapoor-Yash’s Ramayana; eyes a staggering Rs. 1000 crore deal

Namit Malhotra is proving to be a bold producer, as he has taken significant steps to bring the epic story of Ramayana to the big screen. The teaser was released a day ago, showcasing the grandeur of the film with Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram. With a combined production budget of Rs. 4000 crores for the two films, the stakes are at an all-time high, and yet Namit is steadfast in his vision.

Instead of selling digital, satellite, and music rights, Namit is keeping all rights close to his chest.
A source informed Bollywood Hungama that Namit received an offer of Rs. 700 crores for both films combined, which is the highest ever offered for an Indian film. However, he swiftly rejected the offer. Given the massive production cost of Rs. 4000 crores, Namit and his team believe that Ramayana deserves a higher valuation as it is a legacy film that will resonate with future generations. They are expecting a Rs. 1000 crore deal from OTT platforms, leaving the remaining Rs. 3000 crores to be recovered through other sources, including global theatrical releases.

The source also mentioned that Namit is confident that the platforms will increase their offers once they witness the film's global appeal.
"It's a film that offers global reach. Rs. 1000 crores for the two films combined is a fair price considering its potential. Namit is holding the rights close and will partner with the right player at the right price," the source added. There is a possibility that he might sell just part one now and hold back on part two until the release of part one, a strategy that the team behind Dhurandhar used.

Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol in lead roles.
The film is set for a Diwali 2026 release.

Awarapan 2 locks Independence Day 2026 release; Emraan Hashmi returns as Shivam

The sequel to Awarapan, starring Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, is one of the most anticipated films of 2026.
Following the initial announcement of an April 3 release, new details have emerged confirming that the film will instead be released on the Independence Day 2026 weekend.

According to reliable sources, Awarapan 2 is now confirmed to hit the theaters during the Independence Day 2026 weekend.
The film, which is shaping up as a musical and intense love story, features Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani. The release date was finalized after considering various options, with the Independence Day weekend being chosen as the ideal timing.

Currently in production, the film is expected to complete its shoot by the end of April.
After two months of post-production, the team is preparing for the festive release.

Awarapan holds a special place in the hearts of audiences due to its enduring songs.
For Awarapan 2, the makers have recreated two tracks from the original album, which are set to be major highlights. The sequel is directed by Nitin Kakkar.

Vipassana in Bandra, fireworks in Hyderabad: Dhurandhar 2 has ripped open Bollywood’s jealousy crisis

Let’s check the numbers.
Right now, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is passing the Rs. 1,400 crore mark worldwide. It took just 13 days. It’s a 229-minute, A-rated, violent spy thriller that has done something unusual—it went straight into Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, and made over Rs. 200 crore net. Ranveer Singh and an all-Bollywood team are close to taking the title of the highest-grossing Hindi film in the South.

You’d expect the Mumbai film world to be celebrating with fireworks from Bandra and Juhu.
But instead, we’re seeing a masterclass in quiet reflection.

The difference is clear.
The biggest cheers for Dhurandhar 2 are in Hyderabad and Chennai. SS Rajamouli is sharing deep analysis of Ranveer’s intense scene. Nag Ashwin is openly praising Aditya Dhar’s talent. Even Rajinikanth has called Aditya Dhar the “Father of Box Office.”

But in Mumbai?
Apart from a few forced mentions from Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, the big names are keeping quiet.

So why is there such a divide in how people are reacting?

It’s because Dhurandhar 2 has done more than just make money—it has hit the egos and old ways of the Hindi film industry.

For the past five years, Bollywood’s main way of making big money has been to work with Southern directors, use Southern stars, or copy Southern styles.
Dhurandhar has thrown that strategy out the window. It proved that a Hindi film can beat the South if it tells a strong story and casts well. Ranveer, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Madhavan showed that Hindi films don’t need a crossover to win—they just need a better, more daring movie.

That’s a scary thing for the older, bigger names in Bollywood.

Looking at the business side, the silence makes sense.
Dhurandhar 2 has changed the rules of the game. When a 229-minute film with high ratings hits Rs. 872 crore net in India, it changes what audiences expect. It also changes what the film companies are willing to pay for satellite and streaming rights.

For other studios and stars working on their own Rs. 200-crore movies, Dhurandhar’s success is a major problem.
How do you sell expensive satellite or streaming rights for a safe, standard action film when the audience has just proven they’ll sit through a 229-minute action movie with a strong emotional story? The rules have changed and the old guard is scared of being left behind.

There’s also the big difference between the mindset of South Indian cinema and Bollywood.
In Tollywood and Kollywood, when a film like Kalki or RRR does well, the whole region benefits. They celebrate growth because it brings more people to the theaters.

In Mumbai, things are different.
The box office is seen as a competition, not a shared success. The feeling of not being able to keep up is obvious. Cheering for Ranveer’s rise or Aditya Dhar’s box office success feels like giving up.

But staying quiet won’t help.
The audience has already chosen, and the business world is already changing. Bollywood can either accept what’s happening, learn from the South’s teamwork, and celebrate that a Hindi film is now leading the country. Or it can stay silent, stay scared, and watch as the audience moves on without them.
