Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 crosses Rs. 325 CRORES worldwide in just 3 days; races towards Rs. 425 crore weekend!

Rajinikanth is known as the Superstar, and the Superstar is Rajinikanth.At 76 years old, he's still making big hits at the box office with his latest movie, Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.In just three days since it came out, the action film has made over 325 crores worldwide, and it's on track to go past 400 crores.

This movie is expected to have the biggest opening weekend in Tamil cinema history and is close to becoming the top-grossing Tamil film of all time, surpassing the 8-year-old film 2.0, which also starred Rajinikanth.Interesting fact: it took another Rajinikanth movie eight years later to beat that record.

The film made 130 crores on Thursday, then 85 crores on Friday.

Box office numbers so far suggest the third day will be around 110 crores, taking the total to 325 crores.The fourth day is also expected to be over 100 crores, which means the total for the weekend will hit over 425 crores.That would put Jailer 2 in the list of biggest opening weekends in Indian cinema and the highest ever for a Tamil film.
