In a video message, Mohanlal said he had watched the film and was really impressed with the way they brought the well-loved story to a fitting end.
He thanked Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajay Devgn, and the whole cast and crew for doing such a great job.
Star Studios, the company that made the movie, shared Mohanlal's video on their social media and said thanks for his kind words.
They wrote, "Thank you so much for your kind appreciation, Mohanlal Sir ????#Lalettan @mohanlal."
The Drishyam series started in Malayalam cinema with the 2013 movie directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal as Georgekutty.
It was so successful that it got remade in many Indian languages, including Hindi, where Ajay Devgn played Vijay Salgaonkar. The Hindi versions became popular on their own because of their exciting storytelling and family drama.
But the Hindi third film is different from the Malayalam one.
The original Malayalam series had a third movie earlier this year, but the Hindi version was made as a final ending.Directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Drishyam The Conclusion brings Vijay Salgaonkar’s struggle to protect his family to a close, not following the same path as the Malayalam film.
The Hindi film opened during the Gandhi Jayanti festival period and had a good start because of the franchise's existing fan base, good word-of-mouth, and ongoing interest in theaters.
The film's run showed how popular the suspense-thriller series is among Hindi-speaking audiences.
Mohanlal’s praise is an important endorsement, especially since he was the one who first brought the Georgekutty character to life, and he was happy with how the Hindi team gave Vijay Salgaonkar his own ending.
